ON THE TRACKS AGAIN...

Ok say I have never really sat down to write a proper blog so with yet another long journey (it isn’t that far but think of it as 8 hours on a train to feel sorry for me) to another day of taking pictures and general business duties. Its been a very exciting few months and in a few weeks the fruit of all this hard labor will finally be pulled off. Having taken a huge step into this wonderful world of publishing its clear to see why many people just simply don’t have the heart and determination to really go all out and make it a success. I have learned a lot from all my previous jobs from designing logos to working in a ladies shoe shop which brings all these experiences together to make sure I know where not to go wrong.

Knowing that making the right decision just over three months ago was a very hard one and I knew it would cause some upset along the way however you really get to know people you thought where either your friends or even just how professional they can be. But enough of all things negative as anyone that knows me will know that I am here because I believe in what I am doing. (and have massive balls…)

So the first issue of MMA Unlimited is nearly finished and to blow my own trumpet… yeah it’s looking pretty darn fine. Its nice to be able really go to town on the design side of things and make your mark with some exciting and more complex designs which will definitely get the reader feeling the passion and excitement of the sport.
Having put together a strong team is not as easy as you might expect and it did take a while longer than expected to do so, but the efforts where well worth it in the long run. Trust, respect and professionalism to me are more important than fancy words and false promises.

God I can get sidetracked cant I? Today will be another long day but by the end of it I will have taken over 400 photos (with my lovely new camera) and will have made it home in time to go and see the latest Disney mentalist film Wall-E? Which from the trailers looks to be a classic. That is unless the train home gets delayed like it did a few weeks ago.

Again back to the issues at hand… Having managed to get a great very experienced PR and Marketing team on board to help with all things scary and unknown is really a huge weight lifted from our minds. Having people who know their business and ours inside out is something very rare to find these days and I am looking forward to a long-standing partnership together.

August is also turning out to be a hell of a month in which I will feel like a social butterfly. Two wedding, a wedding anniversary (four years and counting) a few gigs including vip at the Leeds festival its going to be hectic as in-between all that issue two needs to be designed and coordinated as well. (sounds like a crappy film idea?)

Oh and this Saturday sees the start of my new tattoo (which means an other small halt in my training regime hehehehehe like I haven’t had enough of those this year) which is going to look amazing but I am a little nervous as to what the wife will be writing in the empty script banner in the design??? Not that I don’t trust her or anything but it depends on the day I guess and if I have pissed her off.

Until next time… or Saturday evening when I will post some pics of my new shiny tattoo which will make me even harder than the Hulk.
